Dr. Michael A. (Mike) Surkes has studied science, neuropsychology, philosophy and education since 1970. His doctoral thesis describes how people learn to become wiser through commitments to deep learning, clear thinking and morality.

He advocates for educators to develop wisdom curricula so that students will be enabled to appropriate those values and apply them in action.
